the others和the other的区别用法（Others与the）

这四个单词，需要有逻辑的去记忆：

1. the：定冠词the表示特指，即特定的，非泛指的。如果没有the就是泛指的。Other和others都是泛指；the other和the others都是特指。

2. other：表示其他的，相当于形容词，后面要加名词。Other和the other后面都要加名词；others和the others后面不加名词。

3. s：other加了s，就相当于名词了，后面不能再加名词了。即other 名词 = others；the other 名词 = the others

答案：C。这里需要宾语，宾语需要一个名词。Others相当于名词，等于other people，因此符合题意。A与B后面都需要加名词才行，不能单独使用。

答案：B。根据题意：班内一共28个人，10个是女孩，那么另外18个就是男孩。这里的18个是特定的，不是泛指的，因此需要用the。又因为横线后没有名词，因此用the others。如果the other后面有people或students也可以。

答案：B。根据题意：询问学生是否通过考试，那么只有两种结果。一种通过了，一种没通过。因此题意中说一些人过了，那么自然就是其余的人没有过，因此是特指，需要用the。选择B。

答案：C。这里的横线处需要主语，因此A和B自然都排除了。Others相当于other hobbies。如果选项中要是有the others，我们也可以入选，但others表示泛指，the others表示特指，表达的侧重点不同。

答案：C。这里的横线处需要主语，因此A和B自然都排除了。Others相当于other students。如果选项中要是有the others，我们也可以入选，但others表示泛指，the others表示特指，表达的侧重点不同。

6. There are 10 foreign students in our school. Some are from America; ________ are from Australia.

A. Another B. The others C. Some other D.Others

答案：B。根据题意：学校一共10个外国人。一些来自于美国，那么另一些就是来自澳大利亚。如果我们认为10个学生，只来自两个国家，那么这里的横线处，就应该是特指的，需要用the，因此选择B。如果我们认为10个学生，有的来自于美国，有的来自于英国，有的来自于澳大利亚，也就是说我们假设并不是余下所有孩子都来自于澳大利亚，而是一部分来自于澳大利亚，那么我们可以选择用other students或others。

答案：A。空格处相当于缺少形容词，因此排除D。因为不是特指的，而是泛指的，因此排除B。这里的no other 相当于the other的用法，后面可以加名词单数，根据题意，选择A。

A.Other B. The others C. Others D. Another

答案：C。根据题意：一些人喜欢休息，其他人喜欢旅游。我们需要界定一下范围。这里的人，应该是所有人。在所有人中，有人喜欢休息，有人可能喜欢看电影，有人可能喜欢听音乐，有人可能喜欢逛街。总之，不一定除了休息的人之外的所有人，都喜欢旅游。因此这个人群就不是特定的，而是泛指的。因此用others会更好。

9. There were three books on my table. One is here. Where are______.

A. others B. the others C. the other D. another

答案：B。依据题意：一共三本书，其中1本书在这里，那么就剩下2本书。这2本书一定是特指了，不是泛指，因此需要the。又因为横线后没有名词了，因此不能用the other。如果想用the other，后面必须加books。

10. This is not the only answer to the question. There are ______.

A. the others B. others C. another D. the other

答案：B。根据题意：不是唯一的答案，除了这一个答案，还有其他答案。这里的其他答案，不是特指的，而是泛指的。而且是复数。因此选择B。

11. These cups are ours. Those are______.

A. others B. other's C.others' D.others's

答案：C。依据题意：那些杯子是别人的。这里的那些杯子，是泛指，不是特指。而且还需要搭配所有格使用，因此C可以。

12. Students are usually interested in sports: some like running, some like swimming, and______like ball games.

A. the others B. others C. the other D. Other

答案：B。本题与第8题相似。首先是students没有一个固定的范围，所以学生很多。在很多的学生里面，他们的兴趣爱好都是不同的。有人喜欢跑步，有人喜欢游泳，但不一定余下的人全部喜欢打球。没准有人还喜欢引体向上，有人还喜欢俯卧撑等等。所以说，喜欢球类运动的是泛指，而不是特指。换句话说，如果一共有50人，10人喜欢跑步，20人喜欢游泳，不一定剩余的20人都喜欢球类。如果剩余的20人都喜欢球类，我们就可以选择the others。但如果不一定，还有其他未知可能，我们就不能选特定的。

13. Tom, you should know how to get on well with______.

A. another B. others C. the other D. other

答案：B。依据题意：你应该学着与别人相处。这里的别人，不是特定的，而是泛指的，因此不用the；因为不是一个人，因此不用another。因为横线后没有名词，因此选择others。如果other后面有people，也可以入选。
